Day Trip to Wai-O-Tapu “Geothermal Wonderland” From Auckland

Widely regarded as one of the most surreal places to visit on the planet, a trip to Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland kicks off with a pick up from your hotel accommodations.

A drive towards the scenic Bay of Plenty is sure to keep you entertained for the next three and a half hours. As you arrive, you could take a quick break to stretch your legs out and indulge in a quick breakfast and an opportunity for souvenir shopping.

After this, you will then be taken to experience the stunning display of natural wonder that is the Lady Knox Geyser eruption, with your designated tour guide giving you a brief history of the surrounding area.

You will then be advised to change into comfortable walking shoes as we then take you on a marvelous trip around the geothermal valley, showing among others, the Mud Pools, the Champagne Lake and the Geothermal Park.

After this entertaining experience, you will then be driven back to your hotel residence.
