Muriwai Beach and Gannet Colony Eco Tour

This 80 kilometer stretch of Black Beach sand is deservedly famous for the surfing experience it provides.

The tour begins with a pick up from your accommodations with a drive along the scenic route to enable you enjoy the view through the Waitakere Ranges, Kumeu Wine Trails as well as the Strawberry farms.

The main attraction, however, is the Gannet colony and there are several stops cleverly placed with the aim of ensuring that you enjoy your journey.

In order to fully enjoy the experience, however, it is recommended that visitors tour between the months of August to March when there are higher chances of Gannet sightings.

After viewing, you can unwind with some lunch and a bit of wine tasting.

The entire trip should last a total of 7 hours with pick up times in the morning and at sunset to suit tourist needs.
